The end of summer

So summer has come to an end. It was a lot of fun; Orla and Eoghan spent several weeks at pony camp, and Orla also attended a drama workshop. And they managed, in between rain showers, to make it to swim club on a few occasions.
Jenn and I celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary with a garden party, which was fortunately held on a glorious sunny day. We had a great time catching up with some old friends, and didn’t make them suffer through too long a video show.
I took a couple of weeks in August to go driving in Labrador and Newfoundland. Wisely, I left Jenn and the kids at home, as I ended up driving 4,700 miles in 14 days. Well, 15 actually, as my ferry from Newfoundland back to Nova Scotia was delayed by a day to the effects of Hurricane Bill.
